When the stair is straight, many Leitrim customers go for a reconditioned Brooks Slimline. Long life and reliability are its strong points. Each journey eases off and eases to a halt, a handheld remote calls it up or down, and the DC power packs charge themselves automatically after every run.

If the stairs wrap round a corner, the Brooks 180 is the curved model to ask about. Depending on your house, its rail fits on the inside curve or out along the wider side. Underneath, it is every bit as reliable and well featured as the straight Brooks lifts.

Need something dependable, fast? Installation of a HomeGlide on straight stairs is swift, and its price is very competitive. Robust, reliable and safe, it keeps to the basic features and travels with a smooth, hushed glide. Available, fitted, all over Leitrim.

Planning to stay put for years? On a straight stair, the HomeGlide Extra adds comfort and premium touches. You can select fabric and colour, the seat is compact and stylish, and its aluminium rail is mounted neatly with minimal disruption. Expect specialist advice and installation.

ThyssenKrupp's Flow X replaced its award-winning predecessor, the Flow 2A, and is held up as a world-leading stairlift. It is a product of German engineering and current technology. Thanks to its single rail, nearly all staircases can take one, whether in houses or business premises.

Compact and easy to use, Bespoke's Synergy straight lift has a lot of thought built into it, with some clever features kept hidden. Few rails anywhere are slimmer than the one it rides on, so even a small hall barely notices it.

The Infinity curved lift from Bespoke is designed so you can go up and down your own stairs with very little help. Comfort and build are British in quality, parts carry a 2-year warranty as standard, and we bring expert advice and installation.

Acorn makes some of the best-known stairlifts and is a frequent pick on the reconditioned side. With its simple layout it is easy to get used to, quick to maintain, and built to top quality.

Reconditioned can be a smart buy once you know the lift is staying. There is a full range of straight ones, many bought back from our customers, starting at £950 installed. Price follows the age, condition and warranty of the lift.

Each is fully serviced, checked, tested and cleaned prior to refitting, so most look new.

Coming home from hospital, or caring for someone for a few months? Renting avoids buying a lift you may not need for long. Sign up for 6 months or 12, and give the lift back at the end.

Steps outside can stand between you and the car. A Brooks outdoor stairlift for external straight flights does the same job as the indoor one, with outdoor-rated components and a strong plastic cover against the rain, snow, light and heat. For homes and businesses.

If you buy rather than rent, consider an extended warranty. Breakdowns are uncommon with lifts this reliable, but the cover deals with them and any unforeseen repair, for real peace of mind. After-sales help is reachable 24/7.

Back on your feet but not up to the walk into town? A mobility scooter helps. Our wide range includes Sterling, Supascoota and Invacare, as well as other makes. Our experts will help you find one, just call.

After a hospital stay, a riser recliner makes standing up easier. Ours come from Royams, British, family-owned for close on 40 years and personal in their service. The Patented Lift has a backup battery; motor and mechanisms carry a 5-year guarantee. Petite, Standard or Kingsize, any frame and fabric. High seat chairs too; Leitrim delivery.

Regaining confidence on your feet? A lightweight Coopers rollator is handy around the house and outside it. Safety and comfort shape it, with quality and design to match. Pick a model, a size and a colour, and it will be delivered to your home.

A manual wheelchair can be a great help while recovering. BREEZY standard models are quality chairs, dependable and easy to operate, with folding frames of aluminium or steel, each tested to ride steadily.

For longer-term mobility, an electric wheelchair offers independence in and out of the home. It performs well and turns easily, and you can pick from drive bases, seating systems and expandable controls.

Wheelchair or walker struggling with the doorstep? A portable access ramp, made for everyday use and suited to most budgets, sorts that out. Rubber, anodised aluminium, plastic and carbon fibre versions all keep weight down while maximising safety and load.

Bathing safely after an operation matters. Coopers bathroom aids let you have a bath or shower without needing help, because safety is designed in: grippy textured surfaces that wet fingers will not slide off, and mechanisms that lock securely.

Coopers toilet aids and continence aids are full of practical features. They are there to help you stay independent, which matters all the more while you are recovering at home.
